SECTION 5: FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES
Fire and Explosion Hazards: The product is not flammable or combustible. Product may burn under
fire conditions as an ordinary combustible.
Extinguishing Media: Use any media that is appropriate for the surrounding fire.
Special Fire Fighting Procedures: Firefighters should wear positive pressure self-contained breathing
apparatus and full protective clothing for all fires involving chemicals. Loose media absorbs water and
may cause surfaces to become slippery.
Hazardous Combustion Products: Hydrogen cyanide, nigrogen oxides, carbon oxides.
SECTION 6: ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES
Use appropriate protective clothing and equipment during clean-up. If filter is not damaged, pick up and
keep for use. If the filter is damaged, collect in a manner that minimizes the generation of airborne dust.
Loose dust may cause surfaces to become slippery, so ensure dust is thoroughly cleaned. Place collected
material into suitable containers for disposal.
SECTION 7: HANDLING AND STORAGE
No special handing required. Handle filters in a manner that minimizes the risk of damage. In handling
damaged filters, avoid generating and breathing dusts and avoid contact with eyes, skin or clothing. Wash
hands after handling filters.
Storage: Store in a dry area.

Ventilation: No special ventilation required for handling undamaged filters.
Respiratory Protection: None required for normal use. For operations where exposures are excessive or
irritation is experienced, a NIOSH approved respirator should be used. Respirator selection and use should
be based on contaminant type, form and concentration. Follow OSHA 1910.134, ANSI Z88.2 and good
Industrial Hygiene practice.
Skin Protection: None required for normal handling.
Eye Protection: None required for normal handling.
