Logbook
MaxSea allows to automatically creates a navigation logbook depending to the ship track. It is similar
to the one normally hand-written by the navigator himself. This logbook can be used as your track
historic.
Two ways for recording events in the logbook:
1. Manual mode option selected by default, using the Logbook
to plot events on the
chart.
2. Automatic mode can be checked in the Option menu under MaxSea's option. When this
option is chosen all Events are automatically added with regular intervals of time and distance
in the logbook and they can be displayed on the chart.

How to use the Logbook
The logbook allows you to record events (either automatically or manually) during your trip.
You can customize any events and add notes and pictures. The logbook is also very useful to recall
track history information (as discuss in this chapter). For example, you could create an event
corresponding to a difficult passage. This would male it very easy to recall the Track History around
that point in case you would need to go back.
To display the Logbook events on the chart, click on the
LogBook button available in the Ribbons .
The logbook events are the green pin that appears on the chart:
