AIS target's symbols :
Regular AIS Symbol (AIS targets Class A are colored by default in blue and AIS targets
Class B are colored by default in green).
User can quickly and easily change individually the symbol color :
 Right-click on the symbol and choose a target Color in the right-click menu.
 Click in the corresponding color cell in the AIS List
Read more in the MaxSea Target Options Menu to assign default color (fixed or variable
color).
Online AIS Symbol is colored in orange and the color can not be changed
AIS symbol with rate of turn displayed (turning port in this example)
Lost AIS Targets (usually out of range)
AIS targets with one (or multiple) important data missing: heading, COG or SOG
AIS breaking an alarm condition (either CPA/TCPA or proximity alarm)
AIS Base station
Lost AIS Base station
SAR AIS Targets (Search and Rescue Aircraft)
Note: The AIS refresh rate varies according to multiple parameters (class of AIS transmitter, Speed of the
target,...). MaxSea interpolates the AIS position every second (this is particularly valuable with class B AIS
targets). The "Time" field (available in the Property Window or from the AIS list) indicates the time elapsed
since the last received position.
