Problem Reason The Solution
Appliance does not
start after pressing

Appliance is not
plugged in!
Plug power cord into power outlet. Check,
whether power outlet is live.
Appliance is
overheated.
Remove power plug from power outlet.
Leave for 20 minutes to cool down before
trying again.
Bean hopper is not
attached correctly.

screen.
Lock bean hopper into position.
The milling works start
but no ground coffee
comes from grind outlet
No coffee beans in
bean hopper!
Fill bean hopper with fresh coffee beans.
Milling works or
bean hopper is
blocked.
Remove bean hopper and burr sleeve.
Inspect bean hopper and milling works for
blockage. Remove obstacles. Replace parts
and try again.
The coffee is ground
irregularly with too
large pieces.
The burr sleeve
is missing or not
locked correctly.
Ensure assembling the appliance correctly
according to the instructions in section
›PreparingtheApplianceforUse‹.Donot
forget to insert and correctly lock the burr
sleeve.
Motor starts but opera-
tes with a loud racket
noise
Milling works or
bean hopper outlet
is blocked with
foreign item.
Remove bean hopper, inspect bean hopper,
burr sleeve and milling works and remove
any foreign object.
Moistened coffee
powder is blocking
the milling works.
Clean burr sleeve, milling works and bean
hopper(see:›CareandCleaning‹).
Leave all parts dry thoroughly before re-
assembling. You can use a hair dryer to
blow air into the milling works to dry.
Not enough/too much
coffee grind
Amount settings
requires adjustment.
PressSHOTS|CUPSbuttontochange
grind amount.
Use GRIND AMOUNT dial to fine tune the
amount for MORE or LESS.
