Never wear loose-fitting or hanging garments
while using tile appliance. Hammable material
could be ignited if brought in contact with hot
S/lI'J[ilCe units and Ill,IV Catlse severe b/lI'ns.
Use only dry pot holders--moist or damp pot
holders on hot surthces may result in burns
fl'om steam, Do not let pot holders touch hot
S/lI'][_lce tlnits. Do not tlse a towel or other
bulky cloth in place of a pot holder. Such
cloths can catch fire on a hot surtace trait.
Do not store flammable materials near tile
cooktop.
Keep tile hood and grease filte_ clean to
maintain good venting and to avoid grease fires.
Do not store or use combustible materials,
gasoline or other flammable vapors and
liquids in the vicinity of this or any other
appliance.
Do not let cooking grease or other flammable
materials accmnulate on tile cooktop.
Do not use water on grease fires. Never pick
up a flaming pan. Tm'n the controls off.
Smother a flaming pan on a surtace trait by
covering the pan completely with a well-fitting
lid, cookie sheet or fiat tra> Use a multi-
pm])ose dry chemical or foam-type fire
extinguish er.
Flaming grease outside a pan can be put ()tit
by covering it with baking soda m; if awfilable,
by using a multi-purpose (liT chemical or
fl)am-type fire extinguisher.
Clean tile cooktop with caution. Always lock
the c(mtrol panel using the control lock
teature and wait tmtil the entire glass surtace
is cool heft)re attempting to clean the cooktop.

details. If a wet sponge or cloth is used t() wipe
spills on a hot surfilce unit, be careflfl t() avoid
steaI/l b/lI'ns. Sollle cleansei's C_lil pi'o(hlce
noxious tirades if applied to a hot surtace.
NOTE: We recommend that vou avoid wiping
any surtace trait areas tmtil they have cooled
and tile indicator light has gone off. Sugar
spills are tile exception to this. Please see tile
