If the oil level in the engine crankcasedrops below a pre-determinedlevel, the engine will stop automaticallyand the "LOW OIL LEVEL:'LED will light up. FUEL TANK CAP Remove the Left Side Service Cover and check the oil level of the engine. Add or drain oil as necessary;referto see the section "ADDINGENGINEOIL'.

ENGINEMAINTENANCE ACAUTION! NOTE: 0nly work on a generatorthat has c001edc0mpletely. Inspect the oil leveland air filter condition eachtime you are going to usethe generator.To checkthe air filter and oil levelthe left side service cover must be removed; use a screwdriver to loosen the screw securingthe cover and remove. The air filter is located behind a cover for the air box (Figure10). Push the tab on the bottom of the air box upwards to releasethe cover.To servicethe air cleaner: 1.

CHANGING THESPARK PLUG Replacethe spark plug each year, regardlessof how many hours the generator has been run. Use a NGK BPR7HSthat has be gapped to .030" (.76mm). To replacethe spark plug: 1. Remove the spark plug cover on the top right side of the generator,just below the handle (Figure12). 2. Carefullypull the spark plug lead from the spark plug. Use a socket wrench to removethe spark plug. 3. Installthe new spark plug into the cylinder head.Tighten the spark plug to 15 ft/Ib. 4.

CLEAN SPARK ARRESTOR SCREEN The engine exhaust muffler has a spark arrestor screen. Inspect and clean the screen every 50 hours of operation or once each year,whichever comes first. NOTE: If using the generator on any forest covered, brush covered unimproved land, it MUST BE equipped with a spark arrestor. The sparkarrestor mustbe maintainedin coodconditionby the owner/operator. Cleanand ispectthe spark arrestor as follows: • Removethe screen retainerby removingthe retainerclamp.

IV]ANTENIIVliENTO DELMOTOR CUIDADO NOTA: Trabaje s01amenteen un generad0r quese ha enfriad0 t0talmente. Revise el nivel del aceite y la condicbn del filtro de aire cada vez que vaya a utilizar el generador. Para revisar el filtro de aire y el nivel de aceite, la cubierta de servicio del lado izquierdo debe quitarse, usando un destornillador para afiojar y quitar lostornillos que sujetan la cubierta. El filtro de aire esta situado detras de una cubierta para la caja de aire (Figura10).

OAMBIO DELABWIA Remplacela bujia cada afio, sin importar cuantas horas ha funcionado el generador.Useunabujia NGKBPR7HSquehaya sido espaciadaa 0,030" (0,76mm). Para substituir la bujia: 1. Quitela cubierta de la bujia en el lado superior derechodel generador, justo debajo de la agarradera(Figura12). 2. Hale cuidadosamenteel cable de la bujia. Utilice una Navede dado para quitar la bujia. Instalela nueva bujia en el cabezaldel cilindro. Apriete la bujia a 15 ft!Ib.
