PREPARING FOR INSTALLATION
Remove all of the contents from the carton. See the important notes above. Shut off the power at the circuit breaker and
completely remove the old xture from the wall, including the old mounting strap.
1.Mountingstrap(B)containsseveralpairsofthreadedholes.Findthepairofholesthatmatchesthespacingoftheholesonthe
junctionboxandyourxture’sbackplate.Twoofmountingscrews(A)shouldbeattachedtomountingstrap(B).Youmayneedto
tightenthenutsthatholdthesescrewsinplace.Pullthehousewiresthroughthecenterofmountingstrap(B).Placemountingstrap
(B)overthejunctionboxsothatmountingscrews(A)arehorizontal,andinalignmentwiththeholelocationsonbackplate(F).Secure
mountingstrap(B)tothejunctionboxwithmountingscrews(D)andascrewdriver.Tightenthescrewssecurely.
CONNECTING THE WIRES
2.Attachthexture’swirestothehousewirespulledearlierfromthejunctionbox.ConnectHottoHot(thisistheblackwire,
transparentwirewithblackinnerthread,orsmoothwire),NeutraltoNeutral(theneutralwireisthewhite,atransparentwirewithwhite
innerthread,ortheribbedwire),andGroundtoGround(thegreenwire,transparentwirewithgreeninnerthread,orthecopperwire).
Twisttheendsofeachwirepairtogether.Secureeachconnectionwithawireconnector(usuallyorange).Makesurealltwistsareinthe
samedirection.Ifthereisnohousegroundwirecomingfromthejunctionbox,pleaselocategroundscrew(E)onmountingbracket(B)
andwrapthexture’sgroundwirearoundgroundscrew(E).Useascrewdrivertotightenthetopofgroundscrew(E)ontothewiresand
intothemountingbracket/mountingbracket.Tuckthewiresintothejunctionbox.
FINISHING THE INSTALLATION
3.Placebackplate(F)overmountingscrews(A)sothattheyprotrudethroughtheholesinthefrontofthebackplate.Threaddeconuts
(G)ontomountingscrews(A).Twistuntilthebackplateofthextureissnugagainstthewall.
4.Securespider(I)toshade(L)withscrews(K)anddecorativecap(J).Carefullyslideshade(L)oversocket(H)andsecuretheshadein
placewithsocketring(M).
Twistlightbulbsintosockets(H)inaccordancewiththexture’sspecications.Donotexceedthemaximumwattage.
Yourinstallationisnowcomplete.Turnonthepowerandtestthexture.

CLEANING TIPS
Treat the xture gently! Regular cleaning will reduce the need for deep cleaning. For regular cleaning, turn off the light and wipe down the
xture with a clean lint-free cotton or microber cloth. Never spray cleaner directly onto the xture.
