CLEANING TIPS
Treat the xture gently! Regular cleaning will reduce the need for deep cleaning. For regular cleaning, turn off the light and wipe down the
xture with a clean lint-free cotton or microber cloth. Never spray cleaner directly onto the xture.
PREPARING FOR INSTALLATION
Remove all of the contents from the carton. See the important notes above. Shut off the
power at the circuit breaker and completely remove the old xture from the ceiling, including
the old mounting strap.
1.Takethemountingstrapassemblyfromthepartsbag.Mountingstrap(B)containsseveral
threadedholes.Twoofmountingscrews(A)shouldbeattachedtomountingstrap(B).Youmay
needtotightennuts(C)thatholdthesescrewsinplace.Ifthescrewsarenotattached,pleasehold
canopy(F)uptomountingstrap(B).Lineuptheholesincanopy(F)withtheholesinmountingstrap
(B)andinsertmountingscrews(A)intomountingstrap(B)sothatmountingscrews(A)protrude
throughtheholesincanopy(F).Mountingscrews(A)arelong,sopleasetestthecanopyagainstthe
mountingstraptoseehowfaryoushouldinsertthescrews.Removethecanopyandthentighten
nuts(C)ontomountingscrews(A)toholdthescrewsinplace.
2.Placemountingstrap(B)overthejunctionboxandsecureinplacewithmountingscrews(D).
Tightenthescrewssecurelywithascrewdriver.
ASSEMBLING THE FIXTURE
3.Measuretodeterminethecorrectnumberofrods(Kand/orL)neededforproperhangingheight.
4.Threadthexture’swiresthroughrods(Kand/orL)beforethreadingtherodstogetherandthen
ontopost(M).Tolengthenthexture,addadditionalrods.Ifadditionalrodsareneeded,contact
theplaceofpurchasetoorder.Toshortenthexture,slideanyexcessrodsoffthexture’swires
todiscard.Pullthewiresthroughrodloop(I)andthreadrodloop(I)intothetoprod(KorL).Open
chainconnector(G)andhookthechainconnectortorodloop(I)andcanopyloop(P).Closechain
connector(G).Passthexture’swiresthroughthechainconnector,canopyloop,andcanopy(F).
Keepatleast8to10inchesofwiremorethanthedesiredlengthandtrimtheexcesswires.

FINISHING THE INSTALLATION
6.Pushcanopy(F)uptotheceilingandtightlythreadnuts(H)ontothethreadsofmountingscrews(A).
7.Pushglassshade(O)upoverthethreadsofsocket(N).
8.Securetheglassinplacebytwistingsocketcover(J)ontothesocket.
9.Installalightbulb(notprovided)basedonthexture’sspecications.Donotexceedthemaximumwattage.
Yourinstallationisnowcomplete.Turnonthepowerandtestthexture.
CONNECTING THE WIRES
5.Haveanassistantsupportthexture’sweightwhilecompletingthewiring.Refer
tothewiringdiagramandattachthexture’swirestothepowersupplywiresfrom
thejunctionbox.ConnectHottoHot(blackorsmooth),NeutraltoNeutral(white
orribbed),andGroundtoGround(greenorcopper).Twisttheendsofthewire
pairstogether,andthentwistonawireconnector.Makesurealltwistsareinthe
samedirection.Ifthereisnohousegroundwirecomingfromthejunctionbox,
locategroundscrew(E)onthemountingbracket/mountingstrapandwrapthe
xture’sgroundwirearoundthegroundscrew.Useascrewdrivertotightenthetop
ofgroundscrew(E)ontothewiresandintothemountingbracket/mountingstrap.
Tuckthewiresintothejunctionbox.
