10. STABILITY AND REACTIVITY
Reactivity
Exothermic reaction with amine and alcohols; reacts with water forming heat, carbon dioxide, and insoluble
polyurea. The combined effect of carbon dioxide and heat can produce enough pressure to rupture a closed
container. Dense black smoke is emitted when product is burned without sufficient oxygen.
Chemical Stability
Stable under normal conditions of use and storage.
Possibility of Hazardous Reactions
Hazardous polymerization will not occur.
Conditions to Avoid
Direct Sunlight – high and low temperatures – contact with incompatible materials
Incompatible Materials
Water - Acids – bases – strong oxidizers – copper alloys
Hazardous Decomposition Products
Oxides of carbon – oxides of nitrogen – cyanides - isocyanates
11. TOXICOLOGICAL INFORMATION
