disabled:
all classification parameters such as connection and protection
class must be entered manually.
1
These parameters must be entered manually if they’re not automatically
detected, or if they’re detected incorrectly.
2
A limit value of the protective conductor resistance is determined on the
basis of length and cross-section. Data remain in memory until a new
entry is made.

New Classification Parameters „PRCD Type“
(as from Firmware V1.7.0)
(are only displayed if parameter „Standard VDE 0701-0702-
PRCD“ has been selected):
PRCD (S
tandard):
For the testing of simple circuit breaker safety adapters in
whic
h the protective conductor is permanently connected.
PRCD (S
PE):
(SPE = Switched Protective Earth) For the testing of PRCDs,
in whi
ch the protective conductor is only connected in
switched-on condition.
PRCD-S
(SPE):
For the testing of circuit break
er safety adapters of type
PRCD-S.
PRCD-K
(SPE):
For the testing of circuit break
er safety adapters of type
PRCD-K.
Note
The standard or standard variant associated with the
respective selector switch position conforms to the
default setting.
Ax means that the standard variant VDE 0701-0702-
PR
CD can be selected in each of the preset switch posi-
tions.
Note
For more information on the testing of single-phase and
3-phase type S and K PRCDs by simulating faults, please
visit our company website under item PROFITEST PRCD test
adapter.
Note
The testing of PRCDs (test sequences and time to trip) is
only possible for DUTs with a nominal voltage of 230 V.

Type B (body): Devices
of this type are suitable for both
internal and external patient applications, except for use in
direct proximity to the heart.
The following protection classes are permissible:
I, II, III or devices with int
ernal electrical power supply.
Type BF (body float): same as type B, but wit
h type F in-
sulated applied parts.
Type CF (cardiac float): D
evices of this type are suitable
for use directly at the heart. The applied part may not be
grounded.
