(14) tilted upwards at an angle of ap-
prox. 45 degrees in order to be able to
guide the saw chain (15) more easily
onto the sprocket (19).
3. Place the sprocket cover (12) back into
position:
The thread holds the blade-mounting
screw (13) in place.
The borehole (14a) in the blade (14)
holds the chain tensioner pen (21a) in
place.
4. Tighten the blade mounting screw (13).
Tensioning the saw chain
It is important for your safety and device
functionality that the saw chain (15) is
tensioned. A properly tensioned saw chain
(15) increases the lifespan of your device.
Check chain tension prior to every
use of the device.
The saw chain (15) is properly ten-
sioned when it can be pulled around
the blade (14) by hand without sagging
(wear protective gloves).
When pulling on the saw chain (15)
with 10 N (approx. 1 kg) of force, the
saw chain and blade (14) should not be
separated by a distance of more than
4 mm.
1. Hold the tip of the blade tight. To tight-
en the saw, turn the chain tensioner
screw (21) in a clockwise direction.
To loosen the tension, turn the chain
tensioner screw in an anticlockwise
direction.
2. Tighten the blade mounting screw (13).
The chain tension in new saw
chains (15) must be readjusted af-
ter a short operating period.
Removing device attachments
1. Loosen the coupling nut (8) by hand
from the threaded element.
2. Pull the device attachment from the
telescopic tube (6).
Adjusting the telescopic
tube
You can adjust the length of the telescopic
tube (6):
1. Turn the screw sleeve (7) on the tel-
escopic tube (6) to loosen.
2. Adjust the length of the telescopic tube
(6) by pushing or pulling.
3. Retighten the screw sleeve (7).
Assembly blade
1. Loosen the blade mounting screw (13)
and remove the sprocket cover (12)
(see small illustration).
2. Place the blade (14) with the central
milling above the blade guide (22). The
notched end of the blade will touch the
sprocket (19).
Assembling the saw
chain
Pay attention to the correct rotation
direction of the saw chain. This is
indicated on the sprocket cover
(12) and above the sprocket (19).
