SQE with manual speed control
Functioning and benefits
Manual speed control of the SQE pumps is possible by
means of R100 and an SPP 1 potentiometer.
This application is especially suitable for sampling
from groundwater monitoring wells. The monitoring
well is purged at high speed and the sample is taken at
a low speed (quiet flow). For contaminated
groundwater the SQE-NE type range is recommended.
In case frequent sampling is required, dedicated
installation of the pump is recommended, thus
eliminating wear caused by frequent assembly and
dismantling the installation.
Furthermore, dedicated installations saves the costs of
assembling and dismantling the installation.
Important: Through dedicated installation the transfer
of contamination from one monitoring well to another is
avoided.
Dry-running protection
The value P
cut out
, ensuring dry-running protection, is
factory-set for the SQE pump. If the speed of the pump
is reduced more than 1,000 rpm, the value of P
cut out
must be readjusted by means of CU 300 and R100.
