Regularly check the technical safety of the instrument and measuring lines,
e.g. for damage to the housing or squeezed parts etc. Never operate the
device when it is open! !DANGER TO LIFE!
Do not exceed the maximum permitted input values. Never touch circuits or
parts of circuits with voltages of more than 25 V/ACrms or 35 V/DC! !DANGER
TO LIFE!
UNPACKING
After unpacking, check all parts for completeness and possible damage.
For safety reasons, damaged parts must not be used. In case of any damage,
contact our customer service.
POSITIONING THE DEVICE
Set up the device using the handle or the device’s pedastal to operate and read out the device
comfortably.
In order to comply with the technical tolerance date the device has to be operating for
about 30 minutes within the given operating temperature range.
OPERATION
Connect the provided mains cable to the mains connector at the back of the device and 1.
connect the Schuko plug to an earthed mains socket.
Switch on the device with the power switch (POWER I/0).2.
After a short initialisation phase the device is ready for operation.3.
Connect the corresponding measuring lines/probes to the BNC connectors. The connector 4.
”OUTPUT50Ω“deliversthegeneratedvoltagewithanimpedanceof50ohm.
An external signal can be fed to the connector ”COUNTER INPUT“ for frequency5.
measuring.
The measuring voltage should only be impressed on the internal conductor.
The external conductor (reference earth) is connected to the earth potential
(protective earth conductor).
The indicated maximum measuring voltage must not be exceeded due to
safety reasons.
Removetheprobefromtheobjectafternishingthemeasuring,andturnofftheappliance.6.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Always observe the following safety instructions before cleaning or servicing the device:•
Live components may be exposed if covers are opened or parts are removed
(unless these parts are intended to be removed without tools).
Prior to cleaning or repairing the device, all lines have to be disconnected
and the device has to be turned off.
Do not use scouring, chemical or aggressive cleaning agents such as benzine, alcohols or •
the like. The surface of the device could be corroded. In addition, the vapours are detrimental
to health and explosive. Sharp-edged tools such as screwdrivers or metal brushes should not
be used for cleaning purposes.
Use a clean, lint-free, antistatic and slightly moistened cloth to clean the device, the display •
and the measuring lines.
DISPOSAL
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be disposed of in the
household waste.
At the end of its service life, dispose of the product according to the relevant
statutory regulations.
