INTENDED USE
The laboratory power supply serves as a potential-free DC voltage source to operate low-
voltage loads. It is connected via 4 mm safety sockets. The output voltage and output amperage
can be adjusted depending on the model. The DC output is galvanically isolated and features
protective separation from the mains voltage. There are two adjustable voltage outputs and one
xed voltage output which can be used independently.
To double the power supply, the two adjustable outputs can be connected internally in series or
in parallel at the push of a button.
The power supply can be controlled by a computer through the USB interface. The device
allows you to save four sets of often used output parameters.
The device should only be connected to and operated on an earthed socket (Schuko socket)
of the public AC power supply.
Any use other than that described above could lead to damage to this product and involves the
risk of short circuits, re, electric shock, etc.
The product must not be changed or modied in any way. Do not open the housing.
Operation in damp rooms, outdoor locations or under adverse ambient conditions is not
permitted.
Adverse ambient conditions include:
Excessive dampness or humidity, -
dust or combustible gases, vapours or solvents, -
Thunderstorms or stormy conditions as strong electrostatic elds, etc. -
Always observe the safety notes included in these operating instructions.
This quick guide explains safety measures to make working with the device as safe as
possible. The individual functions of the device are described in detail in the enclosed operating
manual.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Read the operating instructions carefully and especially observe the safety
information. If you do not follow the safety instructions and information
on proper handling in this manual, we assume no liability for any resulting
personal injury or damage to property. Such cases will invalidate the warranty/
guarantee.
Persons / Producta)
The unauthorised conversion and/or modication of the product is inadmissible for
safety and approval reasons (CE).
This is a protection class 1 product. Only use a proper, earthed mains socket of the
public power supply as a voltage source.
Devices operated using the mains voltage must be kept out of the reach of children.
Particular care must therefore be exercised if children are around.
When multiple outputs are combined, perilous voltages can be generated. Only use
contact-protected safety measuring lines for voltages of >42 V/AC or >60 V/DC.
Take particular care when dealing with voltages exceeding 25V AC or 35V DC!
Even at these voltages it is possible to get a fatal electric shock if you touch
electrical conductors.
The power supply will heat up during operation. Ensure appropriate ventilation. Do
not cover the ventilation slots of the device!
Power supply units and connected loads must not be operated unattended.
Only use fuses of the type and rated current specied. It is absolutely forbidden to
use repaired fuses.
Avoid the use of uninsulated metallic cables. There is the danger of short circuit
or re.
Do not use the device shortly before or after a thunderstorm (lightning! / high-
energy overvoltages!). Make sure that your hands, shoes, clothing, the oor, the
power supply, the measurement lines, switches and switching parts, etc. are dry.
Do not use the product within rooms or in bad ambient conditions where ammable
gases, vapours or dust may be present or are present.
Avoid operation in the immediate vicinity of:
strong magnetic or electromagnetic elds -
transmitting aerials or HF generators. -
This can affect the control. -
Only use measuring lines or equipment aligned with the specications of this
device. Overvoltages pose the danger of re.
If you have reason to assume that safe operation is no longer possible, disconnect
the device immediately and secure it against inadvertent operation. It can be
assumed that safe operation is no longer possible if:
the device shows visible damage, -
it does not function any longer and -
after it was stored under unfavourable conditions over a period of time or -
after it was exposed to heavy stress during transport. -
Never switch the device on immediately after taking it from a cold to a warm room.
The condensation generated could cause serious damage to the device. Allow the
device to reach room temperature before switching it on.
Never disassemble the product! There is a risk of a fatal electric shock! Capacitors
inside the device may still be charged, even if the device has been disconnected
from all voltage sources.
Do not leave packaging material lying around unattended. It can become a
dangerous toy for children.
The product is only suited for dry indoor use (not in bathrooms or similar damp
interiors). The device must not get damp or wet. There is a risk of a fatal electric
shock!
In industrial facilities, the safety regulations laid down by the professional trade
association for electrical equipment and facilities must be adhered to.
In schools and training centres as well as at hobby and DIY workshops, the use of
power supplies must be supervised by trained personnel in a responsible manner.
The power supplies are not designed for use on human beings or animals.
Handle the product with care. It can be damaged through impact, blows, or by
being dropped even from a low height.
Also observe the provided detailed operating instructions as well as the safety
notes in the operating instructions of the connected devices.
Miscellaneousb)
Consult an expert when in doubt about operation, safety or connection of the
device.
Maintenance, modications and repairs are to be performed exclusively by an
expert or at a qualied shop.
If you are not sure about the correct connection or use, or if questions arise which are not
covered by these operating instructions, please do not hesitate to contact our technical support
or another qualied specialist.

This device left the factory in perfect condition in terms of safety engineering. We kindly request
the user to observe the safety instructions and warnings contained in the enclosed operating
instructions, so this condition is maintained and safe operation is ensured. The following
symbols must be observed:
An exclamation mark in a triangle indicates important information in these operating
instructions that has to be observed.
The lightening symbol in a triangle warns against an electric shock or the impairment
of the electrical safety of the appliance.
This product has been CE certied and meets the necessary European
guidelines.
