Proper cleaning, maintenance and the use of clean, dry, quality fuel will prevent common operational
problems. The following troubleshooting tips may be helpful for when your HALO Prime1500 Outdoor Pellet
Grill is not operating as it should.

ERL
Low Temperature:
Temperature can't rise 20F for more
than 14 min after start up
Remove pellets from the burn pot and make sure the hopper is full of pellets.
ERF
Blower Fan Malfunction Replace the blower fan. Turn the controller OFF and then ON again and restart grill.
ERR
Replace the RTD sensor. Turn the controller OFF and then ON again and restart grill.
ERC
Unplug A/C adaptor and wait 3-5 minutes for the igniter to cool down, and restart your pellet
grill. If the problem persists, replace the igniter.
ERN
Auger Jammed Clean out pellets in hopper to remove debris causing auger to jam. Turn the controller OFF and then
ON again and restart grill.
ERH
High Temperature:
Temperature exceeds the
allowable temperature 600°F
Let the grill cool down, then turn OFF grill. Clear out any remaining pellets from the burn pot and
restart grill. If the problem persists, call Consumer Service.
ERU
Power Supply Overload Turn the controller OFF and then ON again and restart grill. If the problem persists, replace the
A/C adapter.
Igniter Malfunction
RTD Sensor Malfunction
Turn the controller OFF and then ON again and restart grill.
Temperature drops below set
temperature and reignites for
more than 20 min
Blower Fan Stuck
Blower Fan Connector Loose
Remove debris causing the blower fan to stick. Turn the controller OFF and then ON again and
restart grill.
Check the blower fan connector. Turn the controller OFF and then ON again and restart grill.
Igniter Connection Loose
Check igniter connector. Turn the controller OFF and then ON again and restart grill.
Auger Motor Malfunction
Auger Motor Connector Loose
Replace auger motor. Turn the controller OFF and then ON again and restart grill.
Check auger motor connector. Turn the controller OFF and then ON again and restart grill.
RTD Sensor Connector Loose Check the RTD sensor connector. Turn the controller OFF and then ON again and restart grill.
