Make sure to clean out the ash from the burn pot after each use to ensure the proper function of your pellet grill. Failure to clean out the ash from
re pot after each use may cause the pellets not to ignite or may cause a build-up of pellet in front of the auger tube potentially causing a burn back
inside auger tube.

POSSIBLE CAUSE:

SOLUTION:
Press the Power Button. Try another attempt and hold for two seconds to verify
connection.
Make sure the unit is plugged into a working power source. Reset breaker. Make sure
GFCI is a minimum 10 Amp service (see Electrical Wire Diagram for access to electric
components). Ensure all wire connections are rmly connected and dry.
Controller needs to be replaced. Call Consumer Service for a replacement part.
Insert the battery if using battery power. Check that the battery is fully charged.
NO POWER LIGHTS ON THE CONTROLLER
Always disconnect the electrical cord prior to opening Halo pellet grill for any inspection, cleaning, maintenance or service work. Ensure the unit is
completely cooled to avoid injury.

POSSIBLE CAUSE:
Auger not primed
Auger motor is jammed
Igniter failure
SOLUTION:
Before the unit is used for the rst time or anytime the hopper is completely emptied
out, the auger must be primed to allow pellet ll the burn pot. If not primed, the igniter
will timeout before the pellets ignite.
Remove cooking grid and grease plate. Press the Power Button and turn to select Set
mode to turn the unit ON and to inspect the auger feed system. Visually conrm that
the auger is dropping pellets into the burn pot. If not operating properly, call Consumer
Service for assistance or a replacement part.
Remove cooking grid and grease plate from cooking chamber. Press the Power Button
to turn the unit ON. Turn Control Dial to Set and press to inspect the igniter. Visually
conrm that the igniter is working by seeing the sparks between the two electrodes.
Visually conrm that the igniter gap is approximately 6mm / 0.25 inches in the burn
pot. If not operating properly, follow Manual Start-up Procedure to continue use of
pellet grill. Call Consumer Service for assistance or a replacement part.
