SAFETY INFORMATION WARNING When mounting fan to a ceiling outlet box, use a METAL octagonal outlet box; do NOT use a plastic outlet box. Secure the outlet box directly to the building structure. The outlet box and its support must be able to support the moving weight of the fan (at least 35 lbs.). To avoid personal injury, the use of gloves may be necessary while handling fan parts with sharp edges.

Place motor on carpet or on foam to avoid damage to finish. Compare parts with package contents list and hardware contents list. If any part is missing or damaged, do not attempt to assemble the product.
INITIAL INSTALLATION 2. Determine mounting method to use. A. Standard mount B. Angle mount 2 Note: Flushmount and closemount options are not available for this fan. A IMPORTANT: If using the angle mount, ensure the ceiling angle is not steeper than 19°. 19° max. *Helpful Hint: Downrod-style mounting is best suited for ceilings 10 ft. high or higher. For taller ceilings you may want to use a longer downrod (sold separately). Angle-style mounting is best suited for angled or vaulted ceilings.
INITIAL INSTALLATION 5. Remove 6 motor screws (H), 6 lock washers (I) and 6 flat washers (J) from top of motor housing (D). 5 D (Top View) H H H I J H 6. Place one blade (N) on top of motor housing (D), aligning holes in blade (N) with holes in motor housing (D). Attach blade (N) with 2 motor screws (H), lock washers (I) and flat washers (J). Tighten motor screws (H) securely. Repeat for remaining blades (N).
INITIAL INSTALLATION 8. Remove vice (Q) from safety cable (R) preassembled to motor housing (D) by loosening preassembled screw and nut on vice (Q). 8 R Screw Q Nut D 9a. Insert downrod (A) through canopy (B) and yoke cover (E).
INITIAL INSTALLATION 11. Slip downrod (A) into yoke of motor housing (D), align holes and re-install pin (L) and clip (M). Tighten set screws and then tighten nuts. Slide yoke cover (E) down until it rests on top of motor housing (D). 11 E A M D 12. Depending on the length of downrod you use, you may need to cut the lead wires back to simplify the wiring. If you decide to cut back the lead wires, it is suggested you do so in the following manner: 8 in.
INITIAL INSTALLATION 14. Install hanging ball of downrod (A) into opening of mounting bracket (C). Align one of the slots in hanging ball with the tab in mounting bracket (C). 14 DANGER: Failure to align slot in hanging ball with the tab in mounting bracket (C) may result in serious injury or death. WIRING 1. Make the necessary wiring connections for remote control operation as detailed below and in the figure. For each wire connection, use one of the wire connectors (CC), making sure to screw wire connector (CC) on in a clockwise direction. CAUTION: Assistance from another person is recommended for this step.
WIRING 2. Wrap electrical tape (not included) around each individual wire connector down to the wire. 2 WARNING: Make sure no bare wire or wire strands are visible after making connections. Place GREEN and WHITE connections on opposite side of the outlet box from the BLACK and BLUE connections. 3. Gently slide remote control receiver (O) flat-side up into mounting bracket (C). Turn spliced/taped wires upward and gently push wires and wire connectors into outlet box.
FINAL INSTALLATION 1. Lift canopy (B) to mounting bracket (C) again, aligning slotted holes in canopy (B) with loosened canopy mounting screws (G) in mounting bracket (C). Twist canopy (B) clockwise to lock. Re-insert the two canopy mounting washers (F) and canopy mounting screws (G) previously removed (Step 4, page 6) and tighten all canopy mounting screws (G) securely. 1 F G B 2. FINAL INSTALLATION 4. Carefully arrange wiring within the LED light kit. Align slotted holes in LED light kit (K) with loosened screws in fitter plate. Twist LED light kit (K) to lock. 4 D S S Insert fitter plate screw (BB) from hardware contents and tighten all three fitter plate screws (BB) and (S) with a Phillips screwdriver. K BB 5. Align slots on glass shade (U) with protrusions on the inside of the light kit fitter. Turn glass shade (U) clockwise until it no longer turns.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS CAUTION: The remote control transmitter can be programmed to multiple receivers or fans. If this is not desired, turn wall switch off to any other programmable receiver or fan. 1. Remove battery cover from back of remote control transmitter in remote pack (P). Install battery from remote pack (P) with positive (+) end toward top of remote control transmitter. 1 Remote Control Transmitter (back side) P Replace battery cover on remote control transmitter.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS 3. Operation buttons on the panel of the remote control transmitter: 3 button 2 button 1 button 0 button button 3 for fan HIGH speed for fan MEDIUM speed for fan LOW speed to turn fan OFF to turn light ON or OFF Tap button quickly to turn lights off or on. Hold button down to increase or decrease lights. If you press button in excess of 0.7 seconds, it becomes a dimmer. The lights vary cyclically in 8 seconds.
TROUBLESHOOTING WARNING: Before beginning work, shut off the power supply to avoid electrical shock. PROBLEM Fan does not move. POSSIBLE CAUSE 1. Power is off or fuse is blown. 2. Faulty wire connection. 3. Learning code process between fan and remote control transmitter may not have been successful and learning code was not activated. CORRECTIVE ACTION 1. Turn power on or check fuse. 2. Turn power off. Loosen canopy and check all connections. 3.
LIMITED LIFETIME WARRANTY The distributor warrants this fan to be free from defects in workmanship and materials present at time of shipment from the factory for Lifetime limited from the date of purchase. This warranty applies only to the original purchaser. The distributor agrees to correct any defect at no charge or, at our option, replace the ceiling fan with a comparable or superior model. To obtain warranty service, present a copy of your sales receipt as proof of purchase.
