Note: The rst three or four res should be of moderate
size to allow the oils and binders to be burned from the
replace and the refractory and paint to cure. You may
notice an industrial odor the rst few res. This is considered
normal.
Note: When rst lighting your replace, it may be necessary
to pre-warm the ue to establish a draft. This is done by
holding a rolled up piece of burning newspaper under the
ue damper for a few moments. This will help reduce smoke
spillage during start-up.
Odors and vap ors released during init ial
operation.
Curing of high temperature paint.
Open windows for air circulation.
Odors may be irritating to sensitive individuals.
CAUTION
Fire Risk
Keep combustible materials, gasoline and
other ammable vapors and liquids clear of
replace.
Do NOT store ammable materials close
to the replace.
Do NOT use gasoline, lantern fuel,
kerosene, charcoal lighter uid or similar
liquids to start or “freshen up” a re in this
replace.
Keep all such liquids well away from the
replace while it is in use.
Combustible materials may ignite.
