 DR=1, with EP: clockwise
 DR=1, with EPi: clockwise (algebraic sign of EPi has no
effect)
 DR=2, with EP: counterclockwise
 DR=2, with EPi: counterclockwise (algebraic sign of EPi has
no effect)
