7.4 Function of the
electrical supply unit
The redirect from battery operation to the mains
connection occurs automatically as soon as a
mains connection is available. The electrical sup-
ply unit converts the external network voltage for
those 12 volt devices present with a converter.
All of the lamps in the camper are run on 12 V
direct current. Only the large electrical devices,
such as the therme, microwave, air conditioning,
etc., are 230 V devices.
Exception: in the Landhaus model, some of the
lamps are run on 230 V.
Your camper also has a combined exterior
socket with an antenna connection. Here, for
example, a television can be hooked up in the
outr tent. The integrated antenna connection can
be used as an entry or exit sleeve, according to
your preference. You can get more detailed infor-
mation from your HOBBY dealer (see also 6.2).
Operation via the base vehicle
During the drive, the battery of the base vehi-
cle takes over the supply of the 12 V devices if
contact 9 of the 13-pole socket system on the
base vehicle is equipped.
12 V operation should be switched off on longer
stopovers and breaks to prevent the vehicle’s
battery from fully discharging.
When running on 12 volts, the refrigerator only
functions if the motor of the base vehicle is
turned on. Contacts 10 and 11 of the 13-pole
socket system.
Please follow the separate instructions for
the "self-sufcient package" equipment,
which are included with the camper's
documents.
If an auxiliary battery is used, it must be replaced
by the same type of battery with the same speci-
cation as the originally installed auxiliary batte-
ry, or as instructed by the manufacturer.
Always break the electric circuit between
the base vehicle and the camper before
attaching a low voltage supply to the
camper.
This camper series has not been equip-
ped for internal battery supply.
When operating via the base vehicle, a
maximum of 3 appliances in the camper
can be switched at the same time using
the control panel, in order to reduce
power consumption (exception: campers
equipped with an Autark package).
