Preparing the motor

Assembling the fan

□ Remove the cotter pin (HH) and clevis pin (GG), and

loosen the two collar setscrews (KK) from the motor

collar.

□ Take out the setscrew (JJ) located in the hanger ball

(VV), lower the hanger ball and remove the cross pin

(II). Remove the hanger ball (VV) from the hanger

ball/downrod assembly (D).

□ Remove the ground lead (WW) from the downrod

assembly (D).

□ Carefully feed the motor wires up through the

downrod (XX). Thread the downrod (XX) into the

collar.

□ Align the holes and replace the clevis pin (GG) and

cotter pin (HH). Tighten the two collar setscrews (KK).

□ Slip coupling cover (G), scroll holder (E), canopy ring

(B), and canopy (C) onto the downrod (XX). Place

scroll arm (F) over the scroll holder (E) making sure

the tab (YY) is properly aligned to the slot (ZZ) on the

motor housing. Secure with the scroll arm screw (LL)

by using the hex wrench (RR) provided. Repeat this

process to attach the other two scroll arms (F).

WARNING: Failure to properly install the cotter pin (HH)

could result in the fan loosening and possibly falling.

NOTE: If a longer downrod (not included) is needed, take

out the screw located in the hanger ball (VV), lower the

hanger ball (VV) and remove the pin (II). Remove all three

pieces from the downrod and assemble them onto the new

longer downrod before proceeding to the downrod installa-

tion.

Assembly

Preparing the canopy

□ Carefully reinstall the hanger ball (VV) onto the

downrod (XX) and reinstall the ground lead (WW) onto

the downrod (XX), being sure that the cross pin (II) is

in the correct position, the setscrew (JJ) is tightened

and wires are not twisted.

□ Remove the canopy ring (B) from the canopy (C).

□ Remove the two non-slotted mounting bracket screws

(BB) from the canopy (C), and loosen the slotted

mounting bracket screws (BB) on the canopy (C).

□ Remove the canopy (C) from the mounting bracket (A)

by turning the canopy (C) counterclockwise.
