Warranty

LIMITED WARRANTY
This warranty applies to new H. M. RICHARD’S upholstered furniture and is extended only to the
customer who makes the original purchase. H. M. RICHARD’S warrants the individual furniture
components to be free of defects in material and workmanship for the length of the time specified below.
This warranty does not apply to defects resulting from negligence, misuse, accidents, or commercial
usage. Under the terms of this limited warranty, H. M. RICHARD’S retains the option to repair or replace
the defective item.
WARRANTY SERVICE
All Claims for service must be accompanied by proof of purchase (bill of sale). Any claim for service
under the warranty must be made through the retail dealer where the furniture was purchased. This
includes ordering replacement parts. H. M. RICHARD’S, will assume responsibility for preauthorized
labor cost to repair any defective part for one (1) year from the date of purchase. After one (1) year labor
cost to repair and or replace parts will be the responsibility of the purchaser.
FRAME WARRANTY
The frame, upholstered in the original fabric under normal use and conditions, is warranted to the original
purchaser against manufacturing defects for the lifetime of the product. Labor warranty, see “warranty
service”. Prior authorization and approval from a representative of H. M. RICHARD’S must occur before
a frame can be deemed “defective” in either parts or workmanship.
SEATING COIL UNIT WARRANTY
The coil units used in the seating foundation are warranted against breakage due to defective material or
workmanship for three (3) years from date of purchase. Labor warranty, see “warranty service”.
SEAT CUSHION WARRANTY
Cushions are warranted for one year against loss of resiliency. The loss of resiliency should not be
confused with a slight softening and flattening of the polyester fiber and foam that will occur as a result of
normal use and aging.
FABRIC WARRANTY
Upholstered fabrics are warranted against defective material or workmanship for one (1) year from the
date of purchase under normal care and use. This warranty does not cover fading, piling, or shrinkage,
and is not valid where there is evidence of heavy soiling or abuse. Fabric damage or failure due to
chemical treatment, or improper cleaning is not covered under this warranty.
SLEEPER MECHANISM AND MATTRESS
The sleeper mechanism and mattress are warranted against breakage for one (1) year from date of
purchase. Damage or failure due to improper use is excluded from this warranty.
