TINES AND FASTENERS
With the engine stopped, and the tiller on level ground, inspect the tines and
check for loose nuts and bolts. Wear heavy gloves to protect your hands.
Replace worn, bent, or damaged tines. Securely tighten loose nuts and bolts.
Be sure to check the tightness of fasteners at the following places:
l
Tine cover and transmission case
l
Tine cover and side cover
l
Tine cover and rear shield
l
Stiffening plate and tine hub
