GENERATING SET USE
This type of generating set is fitted with a thermal circuit breaker which acts as a protection
against overload. If the distribution of electric current is interrupted during use, this might be
caused by an overload tripping the thermal circuit breaker. In this case, wait a few moments,
eliminate the cause of overloading, then resetthethermal circuit breaker by pressing the knob [1]
located next to each receptacle or switch the knob [2] (ECT6D). The thermal circuit breaker is
rated according to the specifications of the machine; if it needs replacing, use an original Honda
component.
OPERATION
CAUTION:
Never connect devices to the receptacles when the engine speed lever is not set at MAX.
position (fully raised to the limit stop) and the engine has not reached a stable running speed.
Otherwise, the frequency and the voltage supplied will not correspond to the rated values,
causing damage to the devices connected.
1. Choose the appropriate voltage using the voltage selectorswitch[3](the EC4D model only).
2. Connect machines to the receptacles, taking care not to exceed the maximum current
specified for each receptacle.
3. Ensure that the circuit breaker is reset.
NOTE
: in the case of momentary interruption while running, and by desire for economy, the
engine speed lever can be brought to SLOW position (fully lowered to the limit stop), provided
that there is no device connected to the receptacles.
