MAINTENANCE OF SPARK ARRESTER

The muffler reaches sufficiently high temperatures to cause burns when the engine is

running and remains hot for a while after stopping. If the generating set has just been

used, leave to cool afterwards.

1. Loosen the collar clamp [1] of the muffler tube. Remove the spark arrester [2], taking care not

to damage it.

2. Use a wire brush to remove the deposits of calamine from the spark arrester.

3. Check the spark arrester and replace it if it is worn or torn.

4. Reassemble all the parts in reverse order.
