TRANSPORTING THE GENERATING SET

When moving the generator set, always place it horizontally, with the fuel filler cap pro-

perly closed to avoid any leakage.

CAUTION:

•

Do not lift the generating set using the transport grips.

•

Wedge the wheels firmly and strap the set correctly during transport in a vehicle.

STORAGE FOR AN EXTENDED PERIOD

1. Ensure that the storage area is not damp or dusty.

2. Draining the fuel:

- completely unscrew the water plug screw [1] from the fuel tank,

- collect the fuel in an appropriate container.

3. Replace the seal [2] and fully tighten the water plug screw [1].

4. Change the engine oil (see page 17).

Lightly pull the grip [3] of the recoil starter until you feel a resistance. Make sure that mark “∆”

of the pulley [4] isat the top; bring the starterrope to its original position. This closes the valves

and protects them from dust and corrosion.

6. Clean and cover the generating set.
