GENERATING SET USE
STARTING THE ENGINE
CAUTION :
• Never start-up the generating set with devices
connected to the receptacles, this could cause their
deterioration.
1. Open the fuel shut-off valve [1] (in the direction of the
“ON” arrow), close the choke by pulling the lever [2] as
shown.
NOTE:
do not use the choke when the engine is warm or
the ambient temperature is high.
2. Set the engine switch [3] to “ON”.
3. Pull lightly on the recoil starter grip [4] until you feel it
resists, then pull sharply.
This precaution is necessary to reduce the dangers of
injury caused by the sudden change of rotation
direction of the engine.
CAUTION :
• Do not let the recoil starter grip return sharply against
the engine. Bring it back gently to avoid damaging the
starter.
• Never use starting additives composed of flammable
and volatile substances which might cause an
explosion on starting the engine.
• When running, do not touch the recoil starter grip as
this could damage the engine and/or the starter.
4. When the engine starts to warm-up, gradually bring
the choke lever [2] in the opposite direction to the
arrow.
