Installing and Registering Plug-ins
Saving your Registration Settings to a File
You can save your registration settings to a file if you want. You may want to do this if
you are registering many unmanaged objects of the same type. To save your
registration settings:
1. In the Required Registration Information dialog box, click Save As. The Save As
dialog box displays.
2. Enter a name for the file and give it an .SVR file extension (for example,
MySANSwitchSettings.svr).
If you want to use a specific registration settings file (.SVR) when registering an
unmanaged object, click Load in the Required Registration Information dialog box,
and then select the appropriate .SVR file for your plug-in.
Unregistering a Managed Object
To unregister a managed object so that it becomes unmanaged by the SRM Server:
1. Launch the Plug-In Registration Wizard. The Registration Function dialog box
displays.
2. Choose Unregister a managed object option. If necessary, enter the account
information to authenticate with the SRM Server. Click Next. The Required
Registration Information dialog box displays.
3. Enter the Object Name that corresponds to the object that you want to unmanage
and click Finish.
