Starting SRM
Use one of these methods to start SRM:
1. If you have installed the Web Browser shortcut, go to Start > Programs >
Storage Resource Manager.
2. If you have not installed the Web Browser shortcut, or if you want to view SRM in
a Web browser other than your default browser, open the Web browser and enter
this URL:
http://Storage Resource Manager Servername/SRM
NOTE: Storage Resource Manager Servername is the name of the computer on which you
installed the SRM Server.
3. If you have trouble accessing SRM using this URL, check with your SRM
administrator for the port number. If you need to type the address with a port
number, simply add a colon and the port number after the SRM Server name. For
example:
http://Storage Resource Manager Servername:80/SRM
Starting the World Wide Web Service
At some point in time you may need to reset the IIS Service, which includes the World
Wide Web (WWW) Service.
To start the WWW Service:
1. For Windows NT, go to Start > Settings > Control Panel and choose Services.
or
For Windows 2000, go to Start > Settings > Control Panel > Administrative Tools.
2. Choose the World Wide Web Publishing Service.
3. If the service has no status or the status is Stopped, click Start.
4. To ensure that the WWW Service will always start up at system restart, click
Startup. The Service dialog box displays. Under Startup Type select the check box
for Automatic. Click OK.
