Post-Installation Reference
Starting the SRM Process Manager Service
If an invalid password was entered or if there was an incomplete domain
synchronization, you might have to start the Process Manager manually.
To start the SRM Process Manager service:
1. For Windows NT, go to Start > Settings > Control Panel and choose Services.
or
For Windows 2000, go to Start > Settings > Control Panel > Administrative Tools.
2. Search for Storage Resource Manager Service.
3. Double click Storage Resource Manager Service or click Startup. The Service
dialog box displays.
4. Re-enter the user account and valid password in the This Account field. Click OK.
5. Make sure that Storage Resource Manager Service is still highlighted, and click
Start.
Monitoring the SRM Process Manager Service
If you are not sure that the SRM Process Manager Service is running, look in the
Services panel of the Windows NT/Windows 2000 Control Panel.
To monitor the SRM Process Manager Service:
1. For Windows NT, go to Start > Settings > Control Panel and choose Services.
or
For Windows 2000, go to Start > Settings > Control Panel > Administrative Tools.
2. Search for Storage Resource Manager Service and verify that the Status is marked
Started.
Stopping the SRM Process Manager Service
To stop the SRM Process Manager Service:
1. For Windows NT, go to Start > Settings > Control Panel and choose Services.
or
For Windows 2000, go to Start > Settings > Control Panel > Administrative Tools.
2. Search for Storage Resource Manager Service and click Stop.
