Domino native journaling cannot filter out messages that users send to themselves from the IAP We b
Interface. Since these messages are already archived, the EAs ag ents skip them and leave them in the
journal. EAs-DToolsprovidesanautomatedprocessforremovingtheseMail-to-Memessagesfrom
the journal mail-in database.
This appendix explains how to configure the HP EAs-D Tools database.

Creating the database
NOTE:
The HP EAs-D
Tools database must be placed on the same server as the journal mail-in database, in a
folder named hprim in the Domino data directory or notesdata directory.
Create the database from the Notes client:
1. Copy the HP EAs-D Tools template (RIM_tools.ntf)fromthetemplates directory on the CD
into the root data dir ectory of your Notes client (for example, C:\Lotus\Notes\Data).
2. Start the Domino Administrator client, and sw itc h to an ID file that has rights to create databases
and run unrestricted agents on the m ail servers.
3. In the File menu, select Open Server,andthenselectLocal.
4. Click the Files tabandopentheNotesdatadirectory.
5. In the Show me box, select Templates only.
6. Select HP EAs-D Tools.
7. With the file selected:
a. Right-click and select Sign from the context menu.
b. Verify that Active user ’s ID and All d esi gn documents are selected in the dialog.
c. Click OK.
8. Configure the database from the Notes client:
a. Select File > Database > New.
The New Database window appears.
b. In the Server box, specify the relevant mail server. Enter the name of the server if it does not
appear in the list.
c. In the Title box, enter HP EAs-D Tools.
d. In the Filename box, browse to and select the hprim folder, then enter the d atabase filen ame:
RIM_tools.nsf.
