8. Configure the database from the N otes client:
a. Select File > Databa se > New.
The New Database window appears.
b. In the Server box, specify the relevant mail server. Enter the name of the server if it does not
appear in the list.
c. In the Title box, enter a name for the database. For example, HP EAs-D PreProcess (miner).
d. In the Filename box, browse to and select the hprim folder, then enter the database filename.
For example, hp_preproc_miner.nsf.
e. In the Template for New Database area of the window, select the server in the Server box, and
then select the HP EAs-D PreProcess template in the scroll box.
f. Click OK and close the database’s About page.
g. Select File > Database > Access Control and adjust the access control settings to make sure that:
Default has no access to the database.
LocalDomainAdmins have Manager access, with delete rights and all roles.
LocalDomainServers have Designer access, with delete rig hts and all roles.
The ID file that was used to sign the database (if not in LocalDomainAdmins) has
Designer access, with delete access and all roles.
If the customer signs databases and agents with a server ID, make sure the server is
in LocalDomainServers.
Creating a new reference database
The reference databases hold temporary references to the mined messages until the messages are
sent to the IAP. Create a new mining, journaling, or bulk upload reference database (as needed) by
following these steps:
1. CopytheHPEAs-DReferencetemplate(hp_riss_referenc.ntf)fromtheTemplates dire ctory
on the CD into the root data directory of your Notes client (for examp le, C:\lotus\notes\data).
2. Start t
he Domino Administrator client, and switch to an ID file that has rights to cr eate databases
and run unrestricted agents on the m ail servers.
3. In the File menu, click Open Server and select Local.
4. Click t
he Files tab and open the Notes data directory.
5. In the Show me box, select Templates only.
6. Select HP EAs-D Reference (hp_riss_referenc.ntf).
7. With the file selected:
a. Righ
t-click and select Sign from the context m enu.
b. Veri
fy that Active user’s ID and All d esign documents are selected in the dialog.
c. Click OK.
