Configuring the Server Definition document
The Ser ver Definition document defines the path to the IAP and other archiving parameters.
A default Ser ver Definition document is located in the HP EAs-D A PI database. The same document can
be used for both compliance and selective archiving. You have the option of creating additional Ser ver
Definition documents. For example, you might want to cre ate a separate server definition for servers
that require special op tions, such as longer query timeout settings.
NOTE:
If you implement DWA Extension and use one or more proxy servers to pro cess message retrievals, a
separate Server Denition document must be created for the Proxy Gateway(s).
To configure a Server Definition document:
1. In the Domino Administrator client, click the Files tab and open the hprim folder.
2. Open the HP EAs-D API database.
3. Under Server Denition, double-click the default server definition to open the document.
4. If this will be the default Server Definition document for the dom ain, click Yes. Otherwise, leave
the default of No.

6. In Status, click Enable when you are ready to enable the server definition.
7. Select File > Save to save the server definition.
8. To create additional Ser ver D efinition documents, in the EAs-D API m ain view select Create >
Archiving > 1. Server Denition and follow steps 4–7.
