2.14 Cluster Support
HDLM can also be used in cluster configurations.
For details about the cluster software supported by HDLM, see Table 3-5: Supported
Cluster Software in 3.1.3 Cluster Software Supported by HDLM.
When load balancing is used by cluster software supported by HDLM, HDLM uses an
active host path to access an LU.
For example, in Figure 2-17: Path Switching in a Cluster Configuration, when
HDLM uses a path (A) from the active host to access a device within the LU, if the
path is placed offline, HDLM switches to another path (B) to continue processing.
The trigger for switching nodes is dependent on the cluster software.
