Using Remote Replication
When selecting file systems for remote replication, be aware that one, multiple, or all file systems
in a single cluster can be replicated.
Using Intracluster Replication
Continuous remote replication (CRR) can be used in two modes: continuous or run once. There are
two forms of intracluster replication:
The same cluster and a different file system
The same cluster and the same file system
This section explains how to perform continuous remote replication in the same cluster but different
file systems by using the StoreAll OS CLI.
Create two mounted file systems, fs1 and fs2, each containing two segments, using the LUNs
that are exported from the HP 3PAR StoreServ Storage.
Start I/o on the file system fs1 until it is 60% full and check fs1 for the usage percent using
the following command:
# ibrix_fs i
Use the following command to start a continuous or run-once intracluster replication task for
the specified file system:
# ibrix_crr -s -f SRC_FS NAME [ -o [-S S RCDIR]] -F T GT_FS NAME [-P TGT DIR]
For example, to start a continuous remote replication from source file system fs1 to target file
system fs2, use the following command:
# ibrix_crr s f fs1 F fs2
After replication completes from fs1 to fs2 successfully, check for fs2 usage percentage,
as shown in the following example:
# ibrix_fs -f fs2 i
