Figure 4 High Availability Details
4. Click Finish to complete the pairing of the two servers.
5. To verify whether the high-availability features are enabled for the pair, issue the following
command:
# ibrix_haconfig i
6. Failover can either be performed manually or be triggered automatically by the server. To
perform manual failover on one of the StoreAll 9300 servers in the pair, use the following
command:
# ibrix_server -f [-p] [-M] [-N] -h SERVERNAME
For example, to initiate failover one of the StoreAll 9300 servers, such as
eos172s1.vpi.hp.com, without the optional parameters, issue the following command:
# ibrix_server f h eos172s1.vpi.hp.com
7. After failover on one of the StoreAll 9300 servers is initiated, the file system goes into the
“SegmentsOnBackup,Mounted” state, whereas the StoreAll 9300 server goes into the
“Up,FailedOver” state.
8. To restore the state of the file system and the StoreAll 9300 server, you need to failback the
server that had been failed over. To perform the failback operation, use the following command:
# ibrix_server -f -U [-p] [-M] [-N] -h SERVERNAME
