HP 3PAR Recovery Manager 4.3 P02 and 4.4 P01 Software for Oracle (QL226-97080, December 2013)

This document provides information on the patch release and bug fixes for HP 3PAR Recovery Manager
for Oracle (RMO) version 4.3.0 and 4.4.0 that may be useful to you. The patch supports the following
platforms and must be applied on both Database and Backup servers.

What’s New
HP 3PAR StoreServ Storage certificate HP 3PAR StoreServ Storage enables management of SSL
certificate, and enforces certificate validation by the host and client applications to establish a secure
connection.
HP 3PAR CLI and HP 3PAR OS versions 2.3.1 MU5 P35, 3.1.1 MU3 P27, 3.1.2 MU3 P16, or later,
supports a self-signed 2048-bit RSA SSL certificate for HP 3PAR StoreServ Storage.
Requirements
RMO version 4.3.0 or 4.4.0 must been installed. For more information, see the HP 3PAR Recovery
Manager 4.3.0 or 4.4.0 Software for Oracle - User’s Guide.
Installing the patch
Before installing the patch, ensure that you meet the necessary requirements. The following procedure
must be performed on both Database and Backup servers:
1. Download the TE215-10503.tar file and copy the file to the /tmp directory.
2. Login as a superuser (root).
3. Change the working directory to /tmp.
4. Untar the TE215-10503.tar file, and run the ./installpatch script on the supported
platforms.
Verifying the patch installation
To verify the patch installation, check for the existence of /opt/3PAR/RMOra/P01 or
/opt/3PAR/RMOra/P02 directory.
Removing the patch
To remove the patch installation, you must perform the following tasks:
1. Download the TE215-10503.tar file, and copy the file to the /tmp directory.
2. Login as a superuser (root).
3. Change the working directory to /tmp.
4. Untar the TE215-10503.tar file and change the working directory to /tmp/TE215-10503.
5. Run the ./removepatch script on the supported platforms to remove the patch.
