1. Failover to the synchronous storage system S347.
If the Remote Copy groups have not been stopped, stop the groups on S256 by issuing the
following:
# stoprcopygroup -f linux_asm11gr2_data
# stoprcopygroup -f linux_asm11gr2_arch
# stoprcopygroup -f linux_asm11gr2_redo
• The failover operation changes the role of the secondary groups on the remote synchronous
storage system from Secondary to Primary-Rev. Any LUNs associated with the volumes
in the Remote Copy group become writable by hosts (in this example, panther) connected
to the remote storage system S347.
• Prior to the failover operation, the output from the showrcopy command issued on S347
displays the following:
