HP 3PAR OS 3.1.2 MU5 Upgrade Instructions

3 Pre-Installation Requirements
The following requirements must be satisfied before updating to HP 3PAR OS 3.1.2 MU5:
• Stop all system administration activities while performing an HP 3PAR OS online update. This
includes any provisioning activity, physical or virtual copy activity, and snap removal and
dynamic optimization. All active tasks must complete or be stopped before proceeding.
• The update path from HP 3PAR OS 3.1.1.342 (MU1), 3.1.1.410 (MU2), 3.1.1.448 (MU3),
3.1.2.278 (GA) plus Patch P01, 3.1.2.322 (MU1), 3.1.2.422 (MU2), or 3.1.2.422+P11
(EMU2) directly to 3.1.2.592 (MU5) is supported and an approved path.
• If you are upgrading from HP 3PAR OS 3.1.2.484 (MU3) to 3.1.2.592 (MU5), HP 3PAR OS
3.1.2 MU3 P33 must be installed before upgrading to 3.1.2.592 (MU5).
