This release notes document describes the modifications and known issues for Patch 18 (P18). The application of this patch is intended for HP 3PAR InForm OS 3.1.1.410 (MU2). This patch ensures that all valid data blocks of a read-write snapshot (RWSS) with thin-provisioned base volumes (TPVV) are copied correctly. It resolves the remote copy issue for initial synchronization of RWSS with TPVV.

1.4 Modifications to the InForm OS The following items are addressed in this release. Bug ID Item Description 74732 Addresses an issue that leads to remote copy target volume and physical copy volume being invalid when performing an initial copy of a Read/Write snapshot (RWSS) with thin provisioned base volume (TPVV). Due to an issue in the InFormOS that parses metadata when replicating a RWSS with TPVV, some valid data blocks may not be copied under certain circumstances.
