HP 3PAR InForm OS 3.1.1 MU1 Release Notes

System startup after 24 hour shutdown requires manual intervention
Prior to InForm OS 3.1.1, an HP 3PAR array could be shut down for extended periods of time and
when powered up again, the array would automatically complete its boot sequence and no manual
intervention would be required to return the array to normal functioning. As of InForm OS 3.1.1,
if the array is shut down for a period of more than 24 hours, when the array is powered up, it will
fail to complete its boot sequence automatically. If the showsysmgr command is run to check the
state of the array, the output will appear as Cannot reach TOC quorum. Use 'setsysmgr'
to set system manager startup state followed by a listing of valid and invalid system
Table of Contents (TOC). If the system has been shut down for 24 hours or more, the most recent
TOC generation is listed as Invalid.
After confirming that the array has been shut down for more than 24 hours, use the setsymgr
tocgen command to set the system Table of Contents (TOC) to the most recent generation; for
example setsymgr tocgen 17791. After issuing this command, the HP 3PAR array will complete
its boot sequence and resume normal functioning.

Dynamic optimization can be used to tune thin provisioned volumes back
to their original CPG. This can improve volume layout without creating a
new CPG.

A VLUN that is exported to a port will no longer be visible to hosts that are
part of a domain, as that would violate domain security. They will continue
to be visible to hosts that are not part of a domain.

InForm OS kernel could panic due to accessing an uninitialized pointer.
This has been fixed by processing the PDU correctly and sending a login

This condition has been fixed in InForm OS 3.1.1. There are no
