replaced with a new fault-less BBU, NEMOE should clear the pending alerts but is unable to and
the showbattery command will show the status of the new BBU as Failed and the Service-LED
as Off. This problem has been fixed in InForm OS 3.1.1 MU1.
Workaround: Run the CLI command startnemoetool <node_number>
clearcompstate. The battery status and Service-LED states should now be cleared and
indicate ok.
Potential sysmgr core at upgrade on systems with AIX and HPUX hosts (Bug 67582)
There is a problem with how AIX and HPUX hosts are handled in managing their state between
sysmgr and the kernel which can result in sysmgr panics. This can present a problem during an
upgrade. This can be worked around by
Workaround: Examine showhost prior to upgrade and confirming all expected entries are
present. For missing entries, use controlport rst on the port. For InForm OS 2.3.1 MU5 and
3.1.1 MU1 the previous requirement to perform servicehost remove prior to loading an upgrade
has been removed and this should help prevent the problem.
Node Panic During Attempt to Bring Up Failed Synchronous Remote Copy (68303)
The driver issued a PLOGI while there was already a pending PLOGI, that messed up the DB state
which in turn caused LOGOs to go out to the remote side.
Workaround: Terminate the previously pending PLOGI before issuing a new PLOGI.
CLI Command controlport rst –l Can Lead to Fatal PCI Errors (68387)
Using the CLI command controlport rst -l on a 10G iSCSI port under heavy host I/O can
lead to fatal PCI errors and a subsequent node reboot.
Workaround: To prevent fatal PCI errors do not use the -l option for the controlport
command.
