B.6 Disconnecting a Host
When disconnecting a host permanently from a port, it is recommended that you use
servicehost remove to remove the inactive host from the port.
Prior to connecting a node to a port where the inactive host was formerly connected, manually
reset the port to initiator mode using:
controlport rst -m initiator
B.7 Using the servicehost command
The following commands only display active hosts and the volumes exported to them:
showhost
showvlun
To display inactive hosts and the remembered volumes, use the servicehost list
command.
When using the InForm CLI, the
servicehost copy command is used to create an inactive
host identical to an active host on the same storage system and for exporting the same
volumes to the new, inactive host.
See the InForm OS Command Line Interface Reference for details on the
servicehost
command.
