Known Issues with the InForm OS
InForm OS Version 2.3.1 MU2 3PAR InForm OS Release Notes
3PAR Confidential
2.7.10 No Explicit Way to Reset the Default Value for Tunelinks (Bug 43579)
setrcopytarget tunelinks command can be used to adjust the performance value for the
target's links using the <bandwidth> and <latency> specifiers. After using this command,
there is no explicit way for the user to reset the tuning parameters back to its default values.
Workaround - Reset the parameter to the default value by reissuing tunelinks with
bandwidth=128000 (or higher) and latency=100.
2.7.11 RCFC Port Shutdown Failure (Bug 44520)
A problem exists during the shutdown of RCFC ports when line errors are present on the Fibre
Channel port. It is possible that the port may not shutdown correctly due to the connection
being restarted from the network multiple times due to delayed or duplicated packets being
received.
Workaround - None.
2.7.12 Failure of setrcopygroup DR Operations does not cause an Alert
(Bug 44555)
With InForm OS 2.3.1 MU2 the setrcopygroup disaster recovery operations ('failover',
'recover', 'restore', and 'reverse') now create a task for each affected group. The CLI command
will return immediately and without error if the groups are valid for the indicated operation.
However, these tasks can fail at various stages due to conditions on the remote copy systems
and these failures will not generate alerts. Further these commands perform non-reversible
operations and as such are designed to be reissued when the error condition is cleared, the
status of the affected groups may appear to have changed even if the task could not run to
completion.
Workaround - When performing a disaster recovery operation, the tasks generated by the
setrcopygroup command should be monitored The -waittasks option can be used to
cause the CLI command to display failure if any of its tasks fail.
