Review the documentation thoroughly. HP recommends engaging a service provider to perform
the upgrades if the customer is not familiar or comfortable with the self-upgrade process. If the HP
3PAR StoreServ is under warranty and/or the HP customer has purchased a service contract, they
may have HP or an authorized service provider perform the upgrade.
Contact HP or an HP authorized service provider
To arrange for HP to perform the upgrade, contact the HP global deployment center at
3par-sps@hp.com and include the HP 3PAR StoreServ Storage system serial number in the subject
line. The email service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. If you have a service contract
with an HP authorized service provider, contact that HP authorized service provider to schedule
an HP 3PAR OS software upgrade.
Modifications to the OS
The following items are addressed in this release:

When the link is established, the driver issues PLOGIs to all devices in

Degraded disk causes P10000
Storage System cage to go offline.

If the link is broken while some of PLOGIs are still pending, then the
driver issues PLOGIs to devices one by one.
If the link breaks again while the PLOGI is still pending, mark this device
as ByPass and send an event to SYSMGR.

does not turn the LEDs off. This is resolved by specifying the timer value
as 1 if LEDs are to be turned off immediately.
A new Host Persona is added for OpenVMS OS hosts. The capabilities
are "Lun0SCC" and "UARepLUN". When the "Lun0SCC" capability
applies, LUN0 must not be used as a name for a storage LUN.

are quickly re-instated. This behavior is observed on Linux hosts (Redmessages might be seen in host
logs. Hat and SLES11) which have more stringent path validation algorithms.
However, it might be observed on other host types depending on how
heavily the StoreServ interface is loaded. This is resolved by optimizing
the failover operation.

is preserved, the base volume is preserved as well. With HP 3PAR OS
