DESCRIPTION
The HpRmCli Exch backup command backs up a virtual copy to media, or creates a virtual
copy and backs up to media (also known as a quick backup). For the later case, no timestamp is
needed.
PARAMETERS
The following options are supported:
(For Exchange 2010/ Exchange 2013)-mdb <mailbox_DB_name> - The name of the
mailbox database to back up.
-s <ExchangeServer> - The name of the Exchange server.
-defer - Optional. Specify this option to defer the Exchange log truncation after the successful
backup is confirmed in automatic creation. This option cannot be used with the -t option.
NOTE: The -defer option is not supported when the HP 3PAR Recovery Manager for
Exchange backup server is the same as the production server.
NOTE: The -defer option defers log truncation until backup completion. This keeps the
Exchange writer in the waiting for completion state for that period.
-nc - Optional. Skips the integrity check (not recommended). This cannot be used with the
-t option.
t <Timestamp> - Optional. The timestamp of the virtual copy to back up. Use if the virtual
copy has already been created. Do not use to create a virtual copy and then perform a backup.
