Known Issues
Item Description
The newly added
statport_disknodesum value for
the alert data table is not
documented in the User Guide.
The User Guide has not been modified for this MU release of
System Reporter 2.8. Consequently, the statport_disknodesum
added in the 2.8 MU1 release is not documented in the User
Guide. This will be added in a future release of the User Guide.
Workaround:
See the description of the new value in the 2.8 MU1 Release
Notes.
Older versions of the Excel client
custom report cannot be
upgraded to the new Excel
client.
The entire architecture of the Excel client has been enhanced
and so backward compatibility is not possible.
Workaround:
Recreate the report using the newer version of the Excel client
for System Reporter.
The message "Unrecognized
data report" can be generated
by Internet Explorer when a URL
is too long.
Internet Explorer has a limit of 2048 characters. The Firefox
(Browser) has a 65,536 character limit. Apache produces a "413
Entity Too Large" error after 4000 characters.
Workaround:
Break the query into a smaller size (especially for PD/LD reports).
An overflow message can be
generated by the Build Report
Menu for some reports with a
large number of objects (such as
LD space).
Excel 2003 has the row limit set at 65,536. Excel 2007 has a
maximum limit of 1,048,576 rows. If the data being retrieved
from the database exceeds these limits, an overflow error occurs.
Workaround:
No workaround has been found to this problem except filtering
the data to run smaller queries.
System Reporter does not work
correctly if a database user is
created without a password.
System reporter requires that the database user in Oracle and
Mysql to have a password.
Workaround:
Ensure that the database user has a password.
