When you select of either the Create Self-Signed Certificate or Create CSR link, an edit request

form providing fields for creation of the certificate appears.

NOTE: The default TA Profile is called Default.

The Certificate Request field have the following constraints:

Common Name (CN) – must be present, max length 64. Common Name should be preset with

value from Switch ID profile if one exists.

Organizational Unit Name (OU) – preferred, max length 32.

Organization Name (O) – preferred, max length 32.

Locality (L) – optional, max length 32.

State (ST) – optional, max length 4.

Country (C) – preferred, max length 2.

Start Date — Preset with current date.

End Date — Preset with current date + 1 year.

Select Install when the form has been completed to Install this certificate to the switch.

Select Cancel to cancel the user request.

Example

An edit form appears to create a request for local certificate with fields for TA

profile, usage, key size, start date, end date and common name.

The fields will be pre-populated from the Switch Identity Profile, if one exist.

Select Create Request to create and send the completed request to the CA.
