Installing a Power Supply
4. Push the handle up and flush with the power supply chassis. The handle
should snap into place, locking the power supply into position.
Caution If the handle does not snap into a vertical position, do not force it. You
may need to re-insert the power supply, taking care to adjust the handle
position during the final few centimeters to successfully engage the
retaining latch.
5. Connect the power cord from the power supply able to an AC outlet
through the rear, side, or bottom of the chassis as your installation
requires

To provide strain relief for a power cable, tie wrap the cable to the access
opening on the side of the chassis or to the rack.
6. Repeat steps 1 to 5 to install an additional power supply.
Verifying a Power Supply Installation
To verify the installation of a Switch 8100fl power supply:
1. Check the LEDs on the front panel of each power supply.
The following LED pattern indicates normal operation:
• AC OK LED on the front panel of each power supply is Green.
• DC OK LED on the front panel of each power supply is Green.
2. After you connect a power cord from a power supply to an AC power
source, if the LED pattern displayed does not indicate normal operation,
refer to
“Troubleshooting” on page 8 to diagnose the problem.
