4. Enter the portErrShow command; then, check for errors that can cause login problems.
• A high number of errors relative to the frames transmitted and frames received can indicate a
marginal link (refer to ”Correcting marginal links” on page 325 for additional information).
• A steadily increasing number of errors can indicate a problem. Track errors by sampling the port
errors every five or ten minutes.
